Why Africa? Why Tanzania? Why school? Why kids? Why volunteering?
Why? Why? Why?
I feel like sometimes I don’t even know how to answer all of that. I feel like it's something inside of me. Something that has always been a dream of mine.
To be able to make someone else’s life somehow better. But why am I so drawn to doing something with the kids?
I have always loved being around kids. I feel like they are so pure and honest about how they see life and how they see the world around them. Their eyes tell us all about their dreams and fantasies.
Sometimes, I wish people didn’t lose this innocence and pureness when they grow up, but I guess this is just life. In that sense, I feel like it is so important for kids to have the opportunity to study and receive proper education. So, in the future, they are able to make their own decisions and be able to build a better future for them and the world we all live in.
I know how cliché this is, but I think it really is the truth… the kids are our future. And if there is something I want, it is for them to have enough knowledge and opportunities to make the right changes for themselves and everyone else.
